::: Who We Are

Chilbolton Flying Club is a small, friendly private aviation club based 5nm SE of Andover, in North Hampshire. The club comprises around 30 members, flying a wide range of aircraft, including weight-shift microlights, 3-axis microlights, and Group A light aircraft. Non-flying members are welcome.

 :: The Strip

The 450 yd grass strip is within the Stonefield Park light industrial area, N5108.33 W00125.28. It is well drained and never floods. We have successfully flown a range of light aircraft from the strip including Cessna 170, Piper Warrior and Chevron. Club members can fly 7 days a week, between 8.00 am and 9.00 pm, without landing fees. For details of the airfield see AIRFIELD INFORMATION .

  ::The Syndicate

There is a Thruster TST syndicate offering _very_ cheap flying, of which there are currently shares available for purchase at £250. Additionally a standing charge of £15 per calandar month to cover parking costs, insurance and other fixed charges. Flying charges are then 12p per minute (£7.20 per hour) excluding petrol (but including oil).  :: Club Meetings

The club meets every second Thursday of the month at 8.00pm in the Coach and Horses at Sutton Scotney, near the strip. The meetings are a mixture of lectures from external speakers, informal socials, quizzes and barbecues. In the past we have had lectures on aerobatics, building a Europa, microlighting across Africa, and restoring a Wellington bomber. See Calendar of Events.

 Light aircraft parking is freely available at £25 per month. De-rigged weightshift hangarage is available at £25 per month. Landing fee (non-members only) £3
